Operate Better provides operational consultancy information and services, a free Operations Snapshot, a separate Operations Diagnostic, and digital tools, ebooks and practical resources.

Operate Better is responsible for personal information it directly receives and controls.

Information we may collect

Depending on how you interact with Operate Better, this may include your name, work email address, business name, team size, contact-form message, assessment answers and results, records of business conversations, purchase-related correspondence, and limited technical information about your visit. The contact form does not ask for a phone number or payment-card details.

How information is collected

Information may be provided directly by you during an enquiry, assessment or business conversation; generated through your use of the Site or assessment application; received through a linked platform such as Whop or LinkedIn; or collected automatically where hosting, security, cookies or analytics technologies are used.

How and why information is used

Information may be used to respond to enquiries, provide assessment results, understand operational needs, discuss or deliver agreed services, provide access or support for digital resources, keep appropriate business records, improve services, protect the Site and meet legal obligations.

Lawful bases for processing

Depending on the circumstances, Operate Better may rely on consent, steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or legitimate interests such as responding to business enquiries, operating and improving services, maintaining records and protecting the Site. Where legitimate interests are used, they are considered against your rights and interests.

The free Operations Snapshot and Operations Diagnostic

The separate assessment application processes information you enter to calculate and provide your results. Operate Better may receive information or results you choose to share for a follow-up conversation or service. Assessment results indicate potential operational risk and are not proof of a specific financial loss.

Digital products and Whop

Digital tools, ebooks and practical resources may be offered through the Operate Better Whop store. Whop processes account, payment and purchase information through its platform under its own privacy terms. Operate Better does not claim to receive or store your payment-card details. Those details are handled by Whop and its payment providers.

Consultancy enquiries and client conversations

If you use the contact form, Operate Better collects the information you enter so it can review and respond to your enquiry. The submission is stored securely in Operate Better’s existing systems and an email notification is sent to the business inbox.

If you contact Operate Better or begin an exploratory conversation, information you provide may be used to understand your needs, decide whether Operate Better can help, prepare a proposed scope and communicate with you. A conversation does not by itself create a consultancy engagement.

Technical, hosting and security information

Hosting and security systems may process information needed to deliver and protect the Site, such as device, browser, request, diagnostic, network and security information. Reasonable organisational and technical measures are used to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Cookies and analytics

The Site or services supporting it may use cookies, similar storage or analytics technologies for essential operation, security, performance or usage measurement. Operate Better does not claim that no cookies or tracking are used. Browser controls can be used to restrict or remove cookies, although this may affect some features.

Third-party services and external links

The Site links to services including the assessment application, Whop, LinkedIn and other external websites. Each service operates under its own privacy notice and controls how it processes information on its platform. You should review the relevant terms before providing information.

Who information may be shared with

Information may be shared where necessary with service providers supporting hosting, security, communications, assessments, digital-product delivery or professional administration; with advisers where appropriate; or where disclosure is required by law. Information is not shared merely for unrelated use.

International data transfers

Some external platforms or service providers may process information outside the UK. Where Operate Better controls such a transfer, an appropriate legal mechanism or safeguard will be used where required. External platforms are responsible for explaining their own international transfers.

How long information is retained

Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing services, maintaining appropriate records, resolving queries and meeting legal obligations. The precise period depends on the type of information and the relevant relationship.

Data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to certain uses. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis. These rights are not absolute and a lawful reason may apply to keeping or continuing to use information.

How to raise a privacy concern

Please first contact Operate Better through the communication channel you have already used so the concern can be reviewed. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you remain concerned about how your personal information has been handled.

This notice may be updated as Operate Better’s services, tools or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
