These terms apply when you use the Operate Better website. By continuing to use the Site, you agree to use it lawfully and in line with these terms.
About Operate Better
Operate Better provides operational consultancy information and services, a free Operations Snapshot, a separate Operations Diagnostic, and digital tools, ebooks and practical resources for UK founder-led and owner-led service businesses with fewer than 20 employees.
Using the website
You may browse the Site, use its internal navigation and follow links to available services and resources. You must not misuse the Site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access or use it for unlawful purposes.
General information only
Website content is provided for general information. It is not legal, financial, tax or other regulated professional advice and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice suited to your circumstances.
No consultancy engagement is created
Viewing the Site, following a link, completing a free assessment or beginning an exploratory conversation does not create a consultancy engagement or adviser-client relationship.
Free assessments and diagnostic tools
The Operations Snapshot and any free tools provide an indicative view based on the information entered. They may highlight possible operational gaps, but they do not prove a specific financial loss or guarantee that every issue has been identified.
Paid consultancy services
Consultancy work begins only after the scope, fees and applicable terms have been agreed. Any proposal, statement of work or service agreement agreed for an engagement will apply in addition to, and take priority over, these general website terms where relevant.
Digital tools, ebooks and downloadable resources
Digital resources are designed to support practical business thinking and implementation. Product descriptions explain what is included. They do not include consultancy support unless that support is expressly stated.
Purchases through Whop
Digital products may be purchased and delivered through Whop. Whop’s marketplace, payment and platform terms may also apply. Product-specific pricing, access, refund and cancellation information shown at checkout applies to that purchase, together with any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Intellectual property
The Site’s copy, design, frameworks and original materials belong to Operate Better or the identified rights holder. Nothing on the Site transfers ownership of that intellectual property to you.
Permitted personal and business use
You may use purchased or freely provided resources for your own permitted personal or internal business use, subject to the product description, checkout information and any product-specific licence terms.
Prohibited copying, resale and redistribution
You must not copy, resell, publish, share, sublicense or redistribute Operate Better digital tools, ebooks or downloadable resources without permission, except where the law expressly allows it.
AI-assisted tools and generated outputs
Some tools or resources may use or support artificial intelligence. Outputs depend on the information provided and may be incomplete or inaccurate. They require your judgement and must not be treated as guaranteed business, financial or legal advice.
Customer responsibility
You are responsible for the information you enter, the decisions you make and how you apply any assessment result, resource or AI-supported output. You should check important information and obtain suitable professional advice where needed.
Availability and changes
Operate Better may update, suspend or withdraw Site content, assessments or resources where reasonably necessary. Continuous or error-free availability is not guaranteed. Changes will not remove rights that already apply to a completed purchase or agreed consultancy engagement.
External websites and services
Links to the assessment application, Whop, LinkedIn and other external services are provided for convenience. Those services control their own content, availability, privacy practices and terms. Operate Better is not responsible for operating third-party platforms.
Results and outcome limitations
Examples, assessments, recommendations and previous results do not guarantee the same outcome for another business. Results depend on circumstances including the quality of information provided, implementation, adoption, market conditions and decisions outside Operate Better’s control.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. Subject to that, Operate Better is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on general Site information, use outside the stated purpose of a resource, third-party services, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. Specific liability terms may apply to a purchase or consultancy engagement.
Ending or restricting access
Access to the Site or a resource may be restricted where these terms, applicable product terms or the law are breached, or where restriction is reasonably needed to protect users, rights, systems or services.
Governing law
The governing law and courts for a paid engagement or purchase will be those set out in the applicable agreement or checkout terms. Where no separate terms apply, the law that applies to the circumstances will determine the relevant governing law and courts.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as Operate Better’s services or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page will show when the terms were last materially updated.
